A real-life soap couple have shared an adorable update on social media with a romantic picture and a declaration of love.

Casualty stars Anna Chell and Olly Rix announced their engagement earlier this year, three months after going Instagram official with their relationship.

They were flooded with support from their co-stars who were thrilled by the happy news, and took to the comments with well wishes.

Now, Anna, 29, who plays Jodie Whyte in the BBC drama, has taken to her Instagram story to share a snap where she and Olly are hugging.

‘I love you Olly,’ she wrote alongside the picture, as well as adding a love heart.

Olly, 41, is also a familiar face to Casualty viewers, having played Flynn Byron for just over a year.

Anna has starred as Jodie since 2023, and previously appeared in two episodes of The Bay.

Both stars are set to appear in Casualty’s upcoming 40th anniversary episodes, with Olly’s character Flynn facing a terrifying situation alongside Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless).

Flynn has been at the centre of the most recent Lethal Legacy boxset, with the episodes having delved into his army past.

Jodie has also been a major player, providing support to Rida Amaan (Sarah Seggari) after her alopecia diagnosis.

She also became somewhat of a detective during the mini-series, as she attempted to expose the truth about a local housing development.
