Peter Mandelson Arrested Amid Epstein Files Investigation Days After Prince Andrew

Peter MANDELSON arrested

Peter Mandelson has been escorted from his home by police, just days after Prince Andrew’s arrest in connection with the Epstein files investigation.

The 72-year-old former ambassador is alleged to have shared sensitive government information with Jeffrey Epstein. Police were seen at one of his properties earlier this month as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police were seen arriving at Peter Mandelson’s home this afternoon before the former ambassador left in an unmarked vehicle.

The incident comes just days after Prince Andrew was arrested at his Sandringham residence on his 66th birthday, prompting searches of the ex-prince’s homes — including Royal Lodge — that lasted 11 hours. Experts say any seized devices, such as phones and laptops, are now under examination.

Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Darren Jones, told the Commons that Mandelson’s appointment as US Ambassador is expected to be formally announced “very shortly in early March.”

The Metropolitan Police previously confirmed searches were carried out at properties in Camden and Wiltshire. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Hayley Sewart said the actions were part of an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct in public office involving a 72-year-old man.

Documents included in the Epstein Files reportedly indicate that Mandelson, during his time in office, passed confidential information to Jeffrey Epstein.

The controversy has intensified scrutiny of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s decision to appoint Lord Mandelson as US Ambassador last year, with several Labour MPs openly criticising the move. Sir Keir has insisted that Mandelson “lied” to him about the extent of his relationship with Epstein.

Several MPs have publicly called on the Prime Minister to resign amid the growing furore.
